A weekend on the water with friends is saved by the bell, thanks to RAILBLAZA’s Dive & Gas Bottle Holders.

We invited guests away on our Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45 Sailboat for Labour weekend (which is mid-late October in New Zealand). The forecast was for fantastic weather as we prepared for the trip, beautiful clear skies and perfect wind conditions.

I soon realised there were going to be Scuba Divers on board, they would have dive tanks, and I had to find a place to store them!

Luckily we arrived at the boat 10 minutes before our guests, and I had to do a fast installation of four RailMount StarPorts to the Pushpit rail.

I then set up two Dive & Gas Bottle Holders to fit into the StarPort RailMounts, and adjusted the straps.

Just as I finished, sets of scuba gear, dive tanks and wetsuits were starting to appearing on the dock next to the boat, and it was beginning to feel more and more like there would be scallops & crayfish on the menu for dinner that night!

I was feeling pretty pleased with myself as to how quick the installation was (I didn’t let our divers know that though – as far as they knew, the bottle holders were there the whole timeº, as they watched me quickly secure the bottle into the shaped holders and commented “those are cool tank holders”.

The brackets can be detached and stored ready for the next time I have Scuba Divers aboard.

It was great to be able to experience first hand the versatility of the RAILBLAZA StarPort system after designing and manufacturing it.
